Who Are we?

Fahari Tuamke Maendeleo (FTM) is Non-Profit working with marginalized groups of people especially Women, Girls and Children. The organization was founded in early 2016 as a community based organization working on women empowerment.

In August 2016 was full registered as a Non –Governmental Organization under the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children as per Non – Government Organization Act, Section 12(2) of Act No.24 of 202 with registration number 00NGO/0008855 on 30 day of August 2016

with the purpose of improving the Livelihoods of the marginalized women, girls and children through food security and environment health economic empowerment, human right HIV/AIDS , Sports and supports to public schools building materials for the rehabilitation of classroom and school desk.

Our Vision

To improve and build capacity to the communities i.e women, children, people with disability, young and older people to cope with various threatening challenges as well as to improve their living standard and environment.

Our Mission

To improve the living standard of the Tanzanians by Ensuring that the communities are effectively and optimal utilize the available resources sustainably, building capacity to the girls, women and children through education, skills and economic empowerment.

Objectives

  • Raise awareness of the continuing need for improvements in education for children and the importance of protecting and promoting children's rights.
  • Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all, especially children, girls, and young women.
  • Provide vocational skills and entrepreneurship training to create a conducive environment for women, girls, and youth to start and grow businesses.
  • Support women and girls in establishing income-generating activities in agricultural food processing, packaging, and marketing.
  • Link women and youth enterprises with Microfinance Institutions and local Government Authorities to access low-interest funds.
  • Provide skills for financial concepts to help establish savings and lending groups.
  • Encourage youth and children to demonstrate their talents in sports and culture, improving health, fitness, and other endeavors.
  • Provide care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) and reduce the number of people at risk of acquiring HIV/AIDS through counseling, testing, and treatment.
  • Increase community awareness toward environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources.
